Illuminant has been awarded a prestigious Phase I Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) - National Institute on Aging (NIA).

This grant will support the development and testing of novel methods of matching a patient's medical image to the physical location of the patient, enabling faster and more accurate image guidance. The project aims to enhance the patient registration process, making it more robust and adaptable to variations in skin-surface topology during surgical procedures.
